Tukaram Omble

LestWeForgetIndia🇮🇳 the gallantry & supreme sacrifice of Tukaram Omble, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Ashoka Chakra (P), 

 #OnThisDay 27 November in 2008.  

The #IndianBrave - an ex-Army man (Naik, Corps of Signals), took 40 rounds from the terrorist Ajmal Kasab at point-blank range, yet held on.  

ASI Omble's selfless act not only shielded his team from gunfire but also ensured the capture of Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist.  

For his extraordinary valour and supreme sacrifice,  Tukaram Omble was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra.   

His legacy lives on as a symbol of courage and patriotism.
